Students have a responsibility for creating and maintaining an environment that supports effective teaching and learning. For this reason, all CCJ students should abide by the following:
- listen attentively to the teachers’ explanation and abide by their instruction in order to contribute in promoting an efficient learning environment;
- refrain from talking, playing, behaving improperly, and causing disorder during instructional time;
- refrain from attacking friends, whether verbally or physically, demonstrating stubbornness, and showing disrespect towards teachers;
- stay seated, help maintain order, protect the classroom materials and equipment and keep them clean;
- refrain from sleeping in class; actively participate in discussions, class activities, and group work;
- refrain from eating, drinking, or chewing in the classroom;
- ensure that their school bag contains all the books, notebooks, and stationery needed for the school day;
- refrain from possessing any non-scholastic or illegal substances;
- refrain from leaving the classroom when class is in session unless the teacher gives authorization and parents have presented a medical report stating that the student needs to use the washroom regularly. During interclass, the student has to wait until he/she gets permission to go to the toilet from the teacher of the following class.
